Fair housing exists in a community when individuals of similar incomes have the same range of housing choices regardless of race, color, ancestry or national origin, religion, gender, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, source of income, or other arbitrary factor.
A violation of fair housing is defined as any action, omission, or decision that limits housing choices based on the protected classes defined above.
