Tenants and landlords join in a business arrangement with each side often having different interests.
Landlords want to make a profit from the property and wish to maintain the property in good condition; their interest in what tenants need may vary greatly. Tenants have specific responsibilities.
Tenants are interested in low cost housing; their interest in the needs of the landlord also may vary greatly.
Through our conciliation and mediation services we attempt to get these parties to work together to resolve issues fairly.
Incorporated cities and the County of San Diego have given contracts to a number of agencies to provide tenant/landlor mediation services. These contracts are based on the location of the tenants and landlords. Center for Social Advocacy has contracts to to provide tenant/landlord mediation to the following communties:
City of El Cajon
City of La Mesa
City of Lemon Grove
City of Santee
In addition, we serve the unincorporated communities of San Diego County east of I-15, from the Riverside County border south to the 94 Hwy.
